Eye Games

Across the cacophony of laughter
in a twinkle of the moment
you catch her eye.
Skipping the distance,
a game of touch
and go
begins,
holding a gaze,
an instant longer…

From the corner
of her eye, stealing,
wary
she knows you stare.
You clink that glass
hold a conversation
without really being there.

Meandering through the noise,
her laughter rings through,
eyes meet and look
